Espresso Martini 2.0
Welcome to Edgar’s Flavors, Brussels. Nestled in the Louise quarter, this boudoir-street style bar features cocktails based on agave spirits, such as mezcal and tequila. You can sip them in a cosy atmosphere, with designer wallpaper and touches of gold, under Frida Kalho’s watchful gaze. Tania Shamshur, the bartender, has brought a twist to the famous Espresso Martini, especially for Charles Liégeois Roastery.
Ingredients :
- Ice
- 4 cl Chiapas Charles Liégeois ground coffee or coffee beans
- 3 cl Corajito coffee liqueur (from the same region as the coffee)
- 1.5 cl Cuir Lointain de H. Theoria liqueur
- 4 cl La Dama tequila
- Cocoa essence food spray (optional)
Recipe :
- Fill a shaker with ice.
- Start with the cheaper ingredients. That way, if you make a mistake, it's no great loss.
- Add the coffee shot, the coffee liqueur, the Cuir Lointain liqueur, and finally the tequila.
- Shake, shake, shake.
- Pour into a coupe-style glass, garnish with three coffee beans and spray on the cocoa essence, if desired.
- Enjoy at home, or with Edgar, the owners' French bulldog.
